ROSETTA DOT NET:
BETTER THAN A STONE
WEBSITE DESIGN, 2024
Rosetta Dot Net is a conceptual interactive website developed
for a History of Typeface course. The project explores how written
languages evolve by allowing users to enter text and follow
branching paths that trace parent scripts to their descendants.
Currently implemented with one phrase from Egyptian hieroglyphs to
Latin, the system is designed to expand into multiple linguistic pathways,
visualizing the genealogy of written language. The project was created
alongside a collaborative class book compiling our typography research
and experiments, situating the website within a broader exploration of
type history and its contemporary interpretation.
